Charger Specialties started the way a lot of things do! with the simple restoration of a car.
We were restoring a 1968 charger back in the early nineties,
and of course it needed rust repairs around the rear window and at the valance ends.
nobody at the time made any preformed sheet metal. After a lot of fabrication
and hard work we came up with the parts we needed. As time went
on we realized that most of these cars had the same rust problems.
So we began manufacturing and selling these pre-made parts at car
shows and swap meets. once it was well established that folks needed
these parts and were willing to buy them instead of having to make them.
We contacted Year-one and the Paddock. they eagerly agreed to buy
and re-sell our product. They also mentioned that they were in need
of suppliers for many many parts in their fast growing market, and if we
could make it, they would buy it. Tooling then began for other much
needed parts such as hood signals & lenses . Over the years we have
sold many new and used parts, not only to dealers and individuals here in the
United States but as far away as Europe and Australia.
Although we do sell other manufacturers parts all of our product is
manufactured right here in Arco Idaho. A small town in the good old
U.S.A. There are a lot of New companies jumping into the Mopar market
these days. Most of them are having the tooling and parts made in china, Indonesia,
Thailand and elsewhere! We greatly appreciate your support of an American manufacturer.
All of our tool & die making is done in-house. We currently have three
"3 axis" CNC milling machines in operation along with 2 plastic injection molders
and numerous Stamping dies and presses all made by
our Founder Les Dyer. With a little help from modern CAD programs
and some of us hard working employees our product line is
expanding and the quality of our parts is rising.. Recently we
acquired a new three dimensional ABS plastic printer .
DSS solid works software and a 3-d scanner .The demand for
new product has created a need speed up the reverse engineering process.
